This new structure will enable Grace Gawler's life work to continue; helping enhance the lives of thousands of people affected by cancer. Grace will continue to provide clients with authentic and proven information about cancer and cancer therapies. With low administrative costs and high service delivery to patients who need help NOW, the Institute will launch a new paradigm as a Centre for Excellence in supportive and complementary care for cancer patients. Grace is known as the Inspirer & co founder of The Gawler Foundation - returning to her work in 2010 - herself a veteran of 20 surgical procedures, with experience as a 24/7 caregiver and qualified health and supportive care professional with more than 35+ years experience.
Grace Gawler's 2 very important literary contributions to the wellbeing of cancer patients and care-givers; Women of Silence - first published 1994 and revised in 2003, and her more recently published life story; Grace, Grit and Gratitude - have value added globally to Holistic care in Cancer therapy.

Grace’s approach, honed over 35 years with 13,000 cancer patients has made her a bridge builder between alternative and mainstream medicine. Grace is a pioneer across many aspects of cancer support.

A Rotary International Jean Harris Award recipient; Grace is also Patron of Reiki Australia, an author, speaker and an internationally recognised cancer support expert. Although a qualified natural therapist/herbalist, Grace prefers to focus on the emotional, lifestyle and psychological aspects of cancer recovery.
Grace is a veteran - someone who has 24/7 hands-on experience; inspiring and caring for Ian Gawler throughout and after his remission from bone cancer 1978. Since then, she has shared her experience with more than 13,000+ patients around the globe via residential programs, support groups, books, seminars and workshops.
Adding to this - her own experience of critical illness and a 13 year recovery period makes Grace a knowledgable and qualified resource for anyone dealing with the challenges brought illness and adversity.

About my Approach: Supporting you and your prime gare-giver: The experience of working closely with cancer patients and caregivers has given me a unique perspective. Having been a 24/7 care-giver for Ian Gawler during his cancer challenges and later, having been a patient with a life-threatening condition myself - I deeply empathise and understand the complexities of dealing with cancer.
I describe myself as a forensic Natural therapist/Herbalist with a special interest in supportive care medicine for cancer patients. Unlike many natural therapists - I prescribe few supplements preferring to help clients access their 'inner pharmacy', their resilience and spirit of survival.
After harnessing 'will to live' and 'will to heal' - my skill is to help patients find the healing strategies that best suit them - making change an enjoyable and integrated process rather than yet another stress.
I create individualised restorative recovery plans & programs for people with cancer and other life-challenging illness, as well as helping clients to search for solutions when compromised by obscure health issues.
A bridge builder between alternative and mainstream medicine; I recommend a middle path approach to cancer management in conjunction with the best that medicine can offer, including referrals to some of the world's best integrated oncology clinics. It is from that view point, that I bring an experienced veteran's approach, helping you navigate the cancer maze, making wise choices utilising the best available medical and complementary methods for your situation.
